E-scooter riders in Queensland will be required to hold a learner's permit if the recommendations made by a "nation-leading" report into e-mobility device are adopted.

Transport Minister Brent Mickelberg told 4BC's Dean and Sofie "parents and guardians are effectively aiding and abetting the actions of their own children by purchasing illegal devices".
