Queensland Police Union President Shane Prior joined Dean & Sofie on 4BC Breakfast to warn that officers are "drowning" under the weight of prison overcrowding and skyrocketing domestic violence callouts, leaving communities vulnerable.
He argued that police are suffering from extreme mission creep, forcing them into transport and social work roles that cripple their ability to proactively protect the public.
