A Brisbane bus driver is making headlines after he was snapped wearing a Make America Great Again cap by passengers.

Brisbane Transport Chair Councillor Ryan Murphy told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "At the moment the Rail Tram and Bus Union members are currently undertaking a uniform ban."

"This is part of protected industrial action that they are taking as part of enterprise bargaining that's going on with council at the moment over a wage increase dispute."
