Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has officially declared January 22 as a National Day of Mourning to honour the victims of the Bondi tragedy.

Simultaneously, the government confirmed that Kevin Rudd will conclude his term as Australia’s Ambassador to the United States in March 2026.
