Chasta and Baby Huey sit down with Nekrogoblikon backstage at Aftershock to talk about the band’s unlikely journey from a small joke project formed in Palo Alto to a unique force in the metal world.

The band reflects on the John Goblikon video that helped them go viral and land festival appearances before they had even toured, while breaking down the wide range of influences behind their self-described “goblin metal” sound. They also discuss their collaboration with Reel Big Fish, surprising musical favorites, the importance of developing a recognizable identity and why making music with friends and connecting with the music community still drives them today.
