This week on Bull Cares, I sat down with Erica Harris from the Child Advocacy Center in Springfield, and the work they’re doing is nothing short of incredible. As the CAC celebrates 30 years, they continue to provide a safe, supportive space for kids who’ve experienced abuse — with trained staff, medical professionals, even a facility dog named Java helping children feel comfortable as they begin to heal. Erica shared how every detail is designed to minimize trauma and why community support is so vital as demand grows and they expand into a new building.
