 Netanyahu scrambles to keep coalition together
It’s been just 4 days since Avigdor Lieberman resigned from his post as Defense Minister and pulled his party out of the ruling coalition and Prime Minister Netanyahu is still scrambling to keep the government in one piece. But a perfect storm has begun to brew, leading most to start bracing for early elections.

3. ‘Security officials unanimously backed ceasefire’

Though the current crisis in the coalition was brought on by former defense minister Lieberman’s resignation last week, government officials are again standing by their decision to end hostilities with Hamas in Gaza and Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon said that the Israeli government knew a truce would be unpopular.
 U.S. rejects U.N. demands over Golan for 1ST time

The U.S. has just made headlines at the U.N. after rejecting for the first time a UNGA resolution demanding that Israel return the Golan Heights to Syria. The call to return the Golan is made often, and this weekend it was brought up again along with 8 other resolutions condemning Israel for various alleged crimes against the Palestinians.
UNRWA reduces staff
The United Nations relief and works agency or UNRWA is also again slamming the United States this weekend after agency head Pierre Krahenbuhl announced that 118 more jobs had to be cut. 500 contracts were also reduced from full to part time.
Barkan terrorist’s family members indicted
Over a month has passed since the attack, and Ashraf Waleed Sulaiman Naalwa who murdered his coworkers at the Barkan industrial park is still on the run. The border police’s counter-terrorism Yamam Unit, Shin Bet Forces, and troops from the IDF’S Elite Duvdevan, Lotar and Oketz units are all participating in the manhunt for Naalwa.

Just in time for world toilet day, Ben Gurion University has just published the results of a pilot study showing that raw human excrement can potentially be converted into a safe, reusable fuel as well as a nutrient-rich fertilizer; and ILTV’S Doriel Mizrachi has the story.

Netflix is under fire this week after a new project set in Tel Aviv was revealed to be in production in Jordan.  The desert motion pictures production company is handling the filming and at least 50 locations throughout Amman, Jordan are set to be included.
