The old site of Mediacorp was once a mansion where a count’s entire family perished in a fire—his young daughter’s spirit is said to linger in what used to be her bedroom, now a studio, with DJs claiming to see the whole family in Victorian attire silently “watching” them work; an actor taking a daytime nap on set is struck by sleep paralysis, fully conscious yet unable to move, as a woman in white leans in and whispers, “I really want it,” only for him to later learn she had mistaken him for someone else; he is forced to return alone at night to perform a ritual, where his lighter repeatedly fails and an oppressive presence surrounds him until the rites are completed; in another incident, a selfie captures a shadowy figure in a hat standing in the distance, leaving him too shaken to keep the photo; a master later explains that spirits linger through resonance with their environment and energy—once that space is demolished or altered, they may dissipate, but any unintended connection could still draw them close.
