A young man mysteriously falls ill after kicking a nail-studded wooden plank into a drain, suffering extreme chills, thirst and an insatiable appetite until a ritual of apology seemingly brings immediate relief; A man helps his former partner perform a ritual for an aborted baby that was not his, even offering his own name when the biological father’s identity is withheld, and later encounters what he believes is the child’s spirit appearing to thank him; After a long day reporting on deaths and accidents, a journalist wakes to the sound of a child singing and laughing, only to discover a toy doll inexplicably crawling across his living room before seeing the photograph of a deceased woman he had interviewed about earlier that day; In a rural village, a woman appears to be possessed by a deceased family matriarch, adopting her mannerisms and revealing a childhood secret known only to the deceased and her son, before claiming that her grave had been damaged and offerings meant for her could no longer reach her.

During a cemetery ritual to make offerings to wandering spirits, two members of the group see a mysterious woman dressed in flowing ancient white robes lying above the burner; when the offerings are set alight and the flames grow stronger, she turns towards the two who can see her, seemingly says goodbye, and disappears; While installing computer servers late at night inside a government facility, a technician is left working alone when he suddenly hears the unmistakable sound of a heavy iron gate slamming shut, despite no one else hearing it, leading him to wonder whether the sound was an unexplained echo of the building’s past; During a paranormal investigation of a vacant unit reportedly linked to a past death, investigators monitor the locked apartment through equipment placed by an open window and witness two interior doors opening and closing by themselves despite there being no strong wind, before all their fully charged equipment suddenly shuts down and the batteries are found completely drained.
