Letting go can feel like losing control—and sometimes, it feels like failure. Committing our way to the Lord means rolling the weight off our shoulders and placing it in His capable hands. The Hebrew root of the word “commit” actually paints this picture of rolling something heavy onto another. It’s not giving up—it’s giving over.

God’s promise isn’t passive—He will act. He will take what you’ve surrendered and begin working in ways unseen. And even though surrender isn’t a one-time act—it’s a daily, sometimes hourly, decision—His patience and grace meet us in the process.

🙏 Your Nightly Prayer

Heavenly Father,
You see what I’ve been gripping so tightly. You know the burdens that weigh heavy on my heart. Tonight, I release them into Your hands—my fears, my loved ones, my future. I trust that Your hands are better than mine, that Your wisdom is greater, and that You are working even when I cannot see it. When I’m tempted to take control again, remind me of Your faithfulness. Thank You that letting go isn’t losing—it’s trusting.
