It is often because you have slowly begun carrying responsibilities, outcomes, and worries that were never yours to hold. God never asked you to be the Savior. He simply asked you to trust the One who is.

Lord Jesus,

Help us to strive less and abide more. Help us recognize the difference between what You have genuinely called us to carry and what we have picked up on our own out of fear or the need to control outcomes that belong only to You.

We trust You with all the details of our story. Tonight we lay our lives down at Your feet, every appointment, every unanswered prayer, every fearful thought, every unknown, and every heavy page of this chapter. The hands that made us are the hands that carry us.
