1 Corinthians 15:21–22 lays out the contrast that defines the gospel: Adam and Christ. Through Adam, sin entered the world, and with it came death. But through Jesus, something greater has come—resurrection and life.

Acts 2:23 holds two realities side by side: human responsibility and God’s sovereign plan. Jesus’ crucifixion was carried out through human sin and injustice, yet it was not outside of God’s control. It was part of His deliberate and redemptive purpose.
