Finding Light in the Dark (John 1:5)

View descriptionShare

Today's Bible Verse:"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." — John 1:5

Darkness is something we all experience. It may come through grief, uncertainty, fear, loneliness, or seasons when God feels distant. In those moments, it's easy to wonder if the darkness will ever lift. But John 1:5 offers a powerful promise: the light of Christ continues to shine, and no darkness can ever overcome it.

John begins his Gospel by introducing Jesus as the true Light of the world. His light is more than a source of comfort—it is the very presence of God breaking into a broken world. Through Jesus, we find hope in despair, truth in confusion, and life where there was once only darkness.
