Mark Yeates made his VFL debut for Geelong in Round 15, 1980 vs. Hawthorn. Mark had the 1 disposal in the game. He didn't get back into the side until the 1980 Preliminary Final. From there he didn't look back as he chalked up 154 games & 57 goals for the Cats, perhaps most well known for the opening bounce of the 1989 VFL Grand Final and his collision with Dermott Brereton but before that he'd built quite a resume.
