We discuss growing up on a farm, the first time Ally realized she could be a writer, and how Agatha Christie’s mysteries provided a better fantasy than Science Fiction. Plus: how Ally became a writer in her own right, how her novels impacted me personally, and her newest novel, The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year. Tangents include: the necessity of longing in romance, the beauty of YA, and whether or not algorithms are ruining our ability to build our own taste.
