Ally Carter, author of massive novels like The Gallagher Girls novels, The Blonde Identity, and most recently, The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year, joins to discuss the work of Agatha Christie.

We discuss growing up on a farm, the first time Ally realized she could be a writer, and how Agatha Christie’s mysteries provided a better fantasy than Science Fiction. Plus: how Ally became a writer in her own right, how her novels impacted me personally, and her newest novel, The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year. Tangents include: the necessity of longing in romance, the beauty of YA, and whether or not algorithms are ruining our ability to build our own taste.
