André 3000 isn't dropping an album, at least not any time soon, but Killer Mike did and he advises those who want to hear 3000 to go ahead and check out his new album Michael while on the Big Tigger Morning Show.
"I got a huge announcement to make... Dre ain't finna give y'all no second album," he bluntly admitted, "I was stoned out my mind, playing, teasing with y'all, y'all done took the joke too serious," he said as people had been wondering when André's album was coming after Killer Mike said in an interview that the OutKast lyricists had music coming out soon.
"If you wanna hear Dre though, I know where you can, it's this album called Michael that's out right now," he jokingly added.
But if Dre isn't making music to release, how'd Killer Mike get him on his lead single? Mike explained that he flew out to see Dre and allowed him to listen to the song for his opinion, after Dre admitted he liked the record he gave Mike the choice to pick from a few unreleased tracks to choose from for his feature on "SCIENTISTS & ENGINEERS."
Giving fans a more "introspective" side of himself with this new project, Mike said "I didn't want to die without people having met Michael and I love Killer Mike... I wanted people to know the full story of Michael Render, he's an imperfect man trying to be more perfect everyday."
In a moment of transparency, Killer Mike admitted that he struggles with being "underrated," he believes he deserves more credit for being such a heavy hitter in the Hip-Hop industry. "Being underrated when you know you the best, you know you the best and you sitting here and you watching average and mediocre" he said before explaining where the halo and horns comes from on his album cover.
