Audacy V-103’s Greg Street sat down with Mona Scott-Young, to discuss her upcoming touring schedule, projects, and more.

Set to head out on both The Queens of R&B Tour with XSCAPESWV and more, as well as Missy Elliott's Out of This World Tour featuring Busta RhymesCiara, and Timbaland, Mona is staying booked and busy, and music isn’t the only thing on her horizon, but we’ll get to that in a bit.

Currently enjoying doing it all, Mona shared, “I just keep saying it's been an incredible time of doing something new, something I haven't done before.”

“It's been exciting,” Mona continued. “I mean, it's every element, and you all know Missy is bringing it, so every single detail on that stage. We are working on it all day long. She's specific, she’s a perfectionist, and she also has these incredible visions that it takes a village to execute.” Mixed with the magic of Busta Rhymes, Mona expressed, it’s “gonna be back to back hits, bring your oxygen tanks. They are not playing with what's gonna happen on that stage.”

Scott-Young also discussed her upcoming film project, The Lost Holiday, starring Jussie Smollet and Vivica Fox, describing it as “a beautifully told story about family, love, redemption, loss.”

“It touches on some incredible themes… Jusse is an incredible director, visionary,” Mona said, noting, “we did 'B-Boy Blues' together and that was a beautifully shot movie. So I'm excited to bring this one to theaters in the fall.” Adding, “we just got accepted into ABFF, so we're very excited about that.”
