Boy band fans nationwide are preparing for a tour beyond their wildest dreams as Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean and *NSYNC’s Joey Fatone’s join forces for A Legendary Night Tour, and Joey Fatone is promising good vibes, great music, and a few surprises.

“We want to have fun, it’s going to be a party,” the *NSYNC member told Audacy’s Christine and Salt, before sharing the idea came after they did a couple shows together.

“I’ve done a few shows now with AJ, and we’ve always talked about doing something together. We didn’t know what that was yet, but we were like, ‘Let’s do something,’” Joey explained before sharing they got together for a few joint shows in Florida which ultimately shaped the idea for A Legendary Night Tour.

“We did this in Tampa, Florida, we did this show and it was kinda like a 90s throwback and people loved it. We had such a blast, we had such a fun time doing it we were like, ‘Why don’t we just put this out there for a couple of shows — see if people want to come see it.'”

People want to see it alright, and that’s been proven through ticket sales as a number of the shows have sold out. Fans are bound to get their money’s worth as Fatone promises classics from both bands, favorites from his solo catalog as well as some of McLean’s new music and maybe even a shirtless AJ.

“You never know, AJ decides to take off his clothes every now and then,” he laughed.
