This is Lillian and Sean McDowell. The past few 4-H kids that we've talked to had lots of animals that they were bringing to the fair. Some had chickens, some had pigs, others had calves, one even had guinea pigs! 

But not these guys, they have a TON of projects...I'm not kidding, a ton.

I'm not even sure where to start.

Lillian showed me some of the projects she's making for the fair. Their mom taught them both how to sew (something I fail terribly at), so she made a dress. She also is big into ceramics and gardening. They've been doing this for about four years now. 

Sean showed me a vehicle he made out of legos. This is the first year he's making one of these for the fair so he's pretty excited! This just reminded me of how many legos I still probably have at my parent's house. Not gonna lie, he did a way better job than what I could've created. 

Lillian and Sean are also really big into gardening. They brought me in the backyard and showed me all the things they've got growing, from squash to zucchini, even dill. These two have a knack for growing things...they should think about becoming farmers!

But that's not where the story stops.

This is their dog, Buck. The cool part is how they actually got him. So at the  Oconto County Fair , they have something called a "cake auction". Kids can make cakes and then they get auctioned off, pretty self-explanatory. 

Well, last year these guys put two cakes in the auction and made enough money to buy their German Sheppard, Buck! Now they're training him to be a search and rescue dog. It's just so cool that because of 4-H and the county fair, they're now able to have a dog that can potentially save a life. 

To see all the projects these two made and everyone elses, stop out at the  Oconto County Fair this week! The fair starts on Thursday, August 15th, and goes until Sunday, August 18th.
