The Coaches - May 18, 2024

Jack Lantz of New Buffalo High School Track and Field is our WSJM Sports Player of the Week.

Overall New Buffalo's boys track team finished 6th at the Regionals, but Jack was the Regional Champion in both the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 42.50, he was also the regional champion in Pole Vault at 12 feet.  Which is a personal best.

He also ran in the 4 x 200 meter and 4 x 400 meter relay teams.

Jack has now graduated from New Buffalo with a 3.97 GPA, he also plays soccer and wrestles.  

In the fall Jack Will be attending the University of Michigan.

Tigers Pitcher Jack Flaherty holds Boston hitless until 1 out in the 7th as Detroit beats Boston 5-0.  Badddo, Greene, and Urshela hit homers as well.  Tigers at Red Sox tonight at 7:10, 6:45 on WSJM.
Milwaukee takes 3 of 4 from the Cubs, after Gary Sanchez hits a two run homer in the 8th as Brewers beat Cubs 6-4.  Cubs home to face Reds at 2:20.
White Sox were off, and visit Milwaukee tonight at 8:10.
Dallas advances to the NBA Finals with 124-103 win over Minnesota.  Doncic and Irving have 36 points each in Game 5 win.   NBA Finals begin Thursday in Boston.
Florida takes Game 5 of NHL's East Final.  Win 3-2 and lead series 3-2.   
WNBA, Indiana falls to Seattle 103-88, Chicago over L.A. 83-73.
Chicago Bears to be featured on HBO's Hard Knocks this year.

NHL Playoffs, Edmonton beats Dallas 5-2 to tie the series at 2-2.  Florida at NY Rangers tonight at 8:00, series also tied 2-2.
