In the third hour, Dan Bernstein, Laurence Holmes and Leila Rahimi turned their attention back to football, with Holmes sharing his conversation with former Bears cornerback Charles "Peanut" Tillman about former teammate and return specialist Devin Hester's kickoff return touchdown against the Colts in Super Bowl XLI and defensive end Julius Peppers' speed ahead of their inductions into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday in Canton, Ohio. Chicago sports historian Jack Silverstein then joined the show to discuss the legacies of Hester, Peppers and fellow Hall of Fame inductee and legendary defensive tackle Steve "Mongo" McMichael. Later, Bernstein, Holmes and Rahimi discussed prospective "Ken Mastrole Award" winners for the Bears' preseason opener against the Texans. After each preseason game, the show recognizes the Bears player with the most outstanding performance.
