The guys then pondered whether it should be considered a failure if the Cubs stand pat at the trade deadline next Tuesday before reacting to recent reports that have surfaced regarding stipulations being set by White Sox left-hander Garrett Crochet and his representation if he's traded. Crochet is pushing for a contract extension in order to pitch in October if the White Sox trade him to a contender. Crochet's representation is also telling teams that he won't move to the bullpen, according to reports. Later, Bernstein and Holmes reacted to Warner Bros Discovery suing the NBA over its bid for broadcast rights.
