The South Bend Cubs needed a double play and Cedar Rapids runner to get caught in a run down (pickle) in 9th inning to preserve a 7 to 6 victory over Cedar Rapids in an afternoon game at Four Wind Fields. On offensive side of the game Felix Stevens hits a grand slam in the 1st inning to give the SB Cubs a 4 to 1 lead. Chase Watkins pitched 3 and 1/3 inning of shut out relief to earn his 2nd victory the season.
