Cubs fall to Lansing 2-1 Thursday night in Michigan.

South Bend Cubs are on a two game winning streak. They beat the Lansing Lugnuts on the road today 9 to 3. Jefferson Rojas has a base hit in 16 games in a row, the best active streak in both the Midwest League and all of High-A. Brett Bateman had three hits in the game today and is currently batting .352 and Bateman’s on-bases streak sits now at 10 games. Ethan Hearn homered in the 9th. Sam Armstrong scoreless inning streak is over but he earned his 2nd win of the season and his current ERA is .051.  

South Bend Cubs Cubs tied the game at 5 runs a piece in the 8th inning when Felix Stevens homers to right field. The SB Cubs score three runs in top of 9th: Jonathon Long RBI single that scored Pedro Ramirez to make 6 to 5 Cubs, then Felix Stevens doubles right field that scores Jonathon Long and Parker Chavers to put the Cubs up 8 to 5. Pedro Ramirez had four hits in the game. Jefferson Rojas had a hit, he now has a 15 game hitting streak. Mitchell Tyranski had two scoreless innings in his 2024 Debut for the Cubs and got the win in relief. 

SB Cubs lost 8-2 against Quad Cities at Four Winds Field on Sunday afternoon in the final game of the QC series. 

South Bend falls to Quad Cities 12-7 Saturday night at Four Winds Field.

Great Defense in 4th and power hitting in the bottom 6th inning helped the South Bend Cubs overcome a 1 to 0 deficient to beat the Quad Cities River Bandits by the score of 7 to 4. In the top of the 4th inning the Cubs has two back to back web gems to stop the Bandits scoring chances, Parker Chavers in outfield and Pedro Ramirez in the infield. South Bend Cubs scored six times in 6th inning powered by Parker Chavers home run that scored Jonathon Long. 

Shut out Victory for the South Bend Cubs: Three pitchers combined to only give up three hits whilke striking out 10 Quad Cities River Bandits batters.  Brody McCullough pitced four great inning followed by Sam Armstrong who piched all the way until two outs in 9th where Chase Watkins got the final out of the game. Shortstop and celebrating his 19th Birthday Jefferson Rojas had two hits with two runs batted in, he currently hitting an outstanding .338 for the season. Jonathon Long hits a two run homerun in 1st inning help the Cubs build a 5 to 0 lead in the first inning. South Bend wins the game 6 to 0. 

South Bend falls to Quad Cities 4-2 Wednesday night at Four Winds Field.

Cubs gave up five runs in the ninth inning as they fell to Quad Cities 8-5 Tuesday night at Four Winds Field.

South Bend defeats Beloit 8-6 with an extra inning on Sunday afternoon. 

South Bend falls 10-7 to Beloit on Saturday afternoon. 

South Bend falls 5-4 to Beloit in 10 innings Friday night.

South Bend suffers its third straight loss in Beloit Thursday, falling to the SkyCarp 7-2. 

South Bend Cubs Jefferson Rojas was 1 for 5 with an RBI, he now has a hitting streak of six games. Rafael Morel went 4 for 5 with an RBI, Morel is hitting .400 on this young season.  The Beloit Sky Carp hit 6 home runs off of South Bend Cubs Pitching. The SB Cubs lose 19 to 4 on the road today to Beloit Sky Carp. 

Positives:  Yohendrick Pinango is staying hot from last week with 3 for 4 performance with 3 RBI's in the game including his 1st home run of the season. Pitcher Jack Patterson made is 2024 season debut with an inning of work.  Negatives: South Bend gave up a glad slam to Beloit's Mark Coley II and bases loaded clearing double from Cameron Barstad. South Bend Cubs lose 11 to 5 in afternoon baseball. 

Wisconsin Timer Rattlers beat out South Bend Cubs 9-6 at Four Winds Field. Even though they lost, Felix Stevens had a great night with a double and a single in the fifth inning. Ethan Hearn would then score a single for the Cubs as well in the bottom of the eighth. 

South Bend rolls past Wisconsin 11-3 Saturday at Four Winds Field on the strength of a five-RBI performance from Felix Stevens.

In bottom of the 6th inning Jefferson Rojas hit a 2 run go ahead home run to lead the South Bend Cubs to their first home game win of the year at a windy and chilly Four Wind Fields.  Angel Hernandez got the win for Cubs and Yovanny Cabrera came in for the save.

Wisconsin Timer Rattlers beat out South Bend Cubs 1-0 in game 1 of a double header at Four Winds Field.  Despite the loss Koen Moreno pitched four scoreless innings of relief for the Cubs. The Cubs did out hit Wisconsin 6 to 2 in a windy game 1.  

Cubs fall to Wisconsin 14-8 on Wednesday night.

South Bend falls in its home opener to Wisconsin 3-1 Tuesday night.

South Bend's offense struggled Sunday as Quad Cities shutout the Cubs 4-0 to take two games out of three to open the 2024 Midwest League season.

Cubs can't eek out a win Saturday in the Quad Cities, falling to the River Bandits 3-2 in 10 innings.

Drew Gray the starter had 6 strikeouts, Tyler Santana had 5 strikes and Chase Watkins added 4 punch outs as The South Bend Cubs pitchers fanned 16 batters of The Quad Cities River Bandits in 3 to 1 Victory. Jefferson Rojas hit his first Home run of the serason in the 1st Inning.  Brett Bateman of the Cubs stat line: 5 at bats, 3 Bases on Balls, 3 stolen bases and an RBI single in the 6th inning.
