Getting milk from a farm to a consumer’s table in the form of various dairy products is not as simple a process as it might seem. Long hours and adherence to health and safety regulations are among the requirements for farmers in western Wisconsin and throughout the state. Overall, the dairy industry annually contributes almost $46 billion to the state’s economy.

Dairy Farming Not as Simple a Life as it May Seem

The campus radio station of the University of Wisconsin River Falls turns 55 years old in November 2023.  This program is an audio yearbook showcasing the events that took place during the academic school year from the fall of 1968 to the spring of 1969. 

Many of the sounds and stories you will hear are brought to you by the students of that time. This audio yearbook was originally distributed as a vinyl long play record album and was recently transferred digitally (please consider this when listening).  Also, note that in 1968, UW-River Falls was known as the Wisconsin State University River Falls.
