The Beauty Of Depression is certainly a provocative name for this week’s show, but as Paul’s guest, Stephan Conradi is here to explain, beauty can always be found in the darkest of places.

In Stephan’s case, he discovered the beauty within, after battling two bouts of severe depression. As he states, these periods were were like being “mentally paralysed”, and only after emerging from the other side, did he really gain an understanding of the strength inside himself.

One thing that’s never been attached to Paul is the label ‘normal’ – something he is totally aware of.  He definitely subscribes to being one of those mentioned the iconic ‘Think Different’ Apple commercial narrated by Steve Jobs in 1977:

“Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules.  You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do!”
