Mother Nature Is The Best Teacher And Motivator – Paul D. Lowe & Rukshana And Zaheed Parvez

View descriptionShare

Paul is joined by a couple from the east of India - Rukshana and Zaheed Parvez, to talk about our connection to nature and how we need to step-up to save nature and protect our beautiful planet, rather than destroy it.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Nature has had a presence on this world for 4.5 billion years, roughly 22,500 times longer than human existence. Nature does not need people, but people need nature. Our future depends on it.

  • We should spend more time in nature. Nature is a silent teacher, philosopher and guide. To understand and learn more we need to observe nature, nature will only teach us when we want to learn.

  • We should start community programmes and call for volunteers in each community and also educate and encourage people to reduce, reuse and recycle stuff. Further we should hold seminars where we use nature to motivate. Water flows, changes and reforms itself to whatever shape contains it. There are so many things with which we can motivate children: be like water, adapt yourself, improvise.

  • With us or without us nature is prepared to evolve, so we should go hand in hand and we should respect life because life is also nature.

BEST MOMENTS

‘We should at times leave the road and take the trail.’

‘When nature thrives we thrive, when nature falters we falter.’

‘Nature’s secret is patience, we should follow the pace of nature.’

‘Nature and man must create a reciprocal relationship.’

ABOUT THE GUESTS

RUKSHANA Parvez, from the city of Joy Kolkata, India, is a lawyer practicing in India. She envision a world free from slavery, slavery in broader sense for her is not only bonded labor practiced in different stratas of society, but also forced labour as a consequence of the Individuals lacking skill in other vocations. In this forced labour what the world losses is creativity & innovation and the individual is also deprived of freedom of thought and conscience and confidence to contribute to the society. Another cause she is concerned about is depletion of nature. Halting biodiversity loss and securing ecosystem is a challenge she wants to accept and wants to walk along with people having the same positive mindset.

Zaheed Parvez is from the city Cuttack, Odisha, he is a corporate pilot and an entrepreneur, he is a nature lover who want to encourage people to respect nature for betterment of the society and humanity. Further he wants to inculcate & educate people on civil defence and disaster management, thus minimising the loss of lives during natural disasters, which is constantly evolving as a powerful threat because of abuse of Nature. He strongly believes, that more than the power to stop natural disasters, we will be needing the measures to get ourselves out of that situation & the value of life should be bigger than the power of ignorance.
