- The first thing I look at when people ask me about changing careers is that I understand them, & if they understand themselves. They also need to know what they want & how to get there. The world is your oyster, there are a lot of things that you could do, a lot of things people will tell you you can’t do, & some things people may tell you – perhaps with the best intentions, love & care – that you should do. The simple reality is that they aren’t you.
- There’s no one with the same personality as you, you’re unique. Are you an introvert, extrovert, a thinker, a feeler? Most important of all, what are your values & what matter to you? Honesty, integrity, do you hate to see bullying or being disrespectful? That means your values are respect. Look at the things that wind you up, if you take the reverse of that you’ll find your values. Do you have certain skills & abilities that others don’t?
- How do you eat an elephant? Bit by bit. There are loads of obstacles to get where you want to be, but just focus on the first one & have the determination to start it & finish it.
