- When impulses to do the unconventional thing, or to go against or question the status quo come up, take a moment to pause and ask: “Why am I doing this?” Most of the time, I am rebelling and moving away from the status quo because I see something that’s broken in many of the systems in which we are living & the cultural rules or patterns that we’ve been operating from. So, my intentions are good – looking for the possibility for more love, ease, connection & abundance.
- Each new generation is a disruptor in the fact of the status quo & wants to push the boundaries & test things. We see this in young children in the earliest stages of development & I’ve witnessed this in myself in my late teenage years through my 20s. In my early 30s was when I started to settle into a level of comfort around the uncertainty & knowing I can push the boundaries and go into the edges, but I can be choosier now of which edges I go into & why & make sure they’re true for me.
