In the middle of a Pandemic, Janet found out she had Breast Cancer. 

Janet reached out to Kate with this message:

'Hi Kate.

I just thought I would reach out and share my life and recent battle with you. I’m not expecting anything but would put it out there that if you need my story as a reference I would be happy to share.

I have just been diagnosed with breast cancer. It is reasonably large(like my boobs) so it is a complete mastectomy of one breast and lymph nodes where it has also been found.

Fortunately it hasn’t been detected in any other part of my body. It is very early days. I haven’t begun treatment but the mastectomy is on 22nd July. I don’t have much of a story to tell yet but I hope in the future my journey will help others. And CHECK YOUR BOOBS.

Pass the word to all your friends. If something doesn’t feel right, get it checked straight away. Sorry to put it on you but you are in a position to get the word out. Keep up the good work.
