This week on Womanity - Women in Unity, Dr. Amaleya Goneos-Malka talks to Ms Kamina Johnson-Smith, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade for Jamaica, about some of her country’s foreign trade policies and domestic activities. We highlight, for example, interventions that have been implemented to allow for the re-integration of teen mothers into the school system, changing the narrative from a moralistic discussion to one of human rights and economic costs to the country. Minister Johnson-Smith remarks on positive outcomes of Jamaica’s national gender policy which led to Jamaica, per capita, having the highest number of female managers in the world.
