This week on Womanity – Women in Unity, Dr. Amaleya Goneos-Malka talks to award winning singer and songwriter Riana Nel. She shares some of the lessons learned along her almost two decade career in the entertainment industry, extending from traditional operations through to being a coach on the talent reality TV show The Voice and seeking new opportunities brought about by the challenges of COVID-19; which has included writing 106 songs for the members of the public in just 7 weeks. We consider the influencing effect that musicians exert on their audiences and correspondingly the importance of musicians using their platforms responsibility. Riana reflects on her choices to lift people up, and as a lasting legacy to help blow the in wind into women’s sails so they may soar to greater heights.
