However, I have been speaking with insurance brokers & some insurance companies are cancelling long-term client policies just for making a claim, so you may want to reconsider before you file a claim with your insurance company.
Water intrusion is flooding, handled by companies (like Service Masters or ServePro, or Paul Davis), vs mold remediation. A mold remediation company removes any mold & replaces the insulation. Mold growth on drywall takes 5 days, on wood 2 weeks. If you address water intrusion immediately, you’re less likely to have mold.
