What is the connection between medicine, longevity and quality of life? Part of that equation involves something called lifestyle medicine. Lifestyle medicine is an evidence-based approach that focuses on using healthy habits such as nutrition, regular exercise, restful sleep, stress management and strong social connections. There is also an emphasis on avoiding harmful substances, especially in excess. The goal is to create a healthier lifestyle. It is a plan to prevent, treat and sometimes reverse chronic diseases. Sandy Brekke and Jessica Boland from Emplify Health by Gundersen talked with Sean Dwyer about lifestyle choices and quality of life.
