Wisconsin Rep. Doyle on Minnesota killer, new state Democratic party chair, Tank Creek Bridge construction

View descriptionShare

Wisconsin state Assembly Rep. Steve Doyle joined La Crosse Talk on Monday to discuss the Minnesota killer and his hit list that included Wisconsin lawmakers. We also covered the new Democratic Party chair, who got his start working with Doyle, plus an update on rebuilding the Tank Creek Bridge after it was deliberately set on fire.

We began the show with Doyle talking about his roles representing District 94, serving on the La Crosse County Board, and practicing law.

Next, Doyle discussed how he learned about Vance Boelter — the man who killed one Minnesota lawmaker, attempted to kill another, and had a hit list that included Wisconsin politicians. He also explained why he isn’t revealing the names on that list.

Doyle then talked about the Tank Creek Bridge reconstruction, which could cost millions but appears to be a state priority, despite a lengthy timeline if the project is approved.

Finally, Doyle reflected on Devin Remiker’s recent election as Wisconsin Democratic Party chair and how Remiker began his political career working with him.
