Adam Murphy joins to discuss Milwaukee’s 1,000-year flood aftermath, the energy demands of A.I. data centers and potential Milwaukee candidates in the Wisconsin governor’s race.
Murphy is a Milwaukee resident, small business owner (Big Bang LLC) and holds degrees in economics and political science. We began the show by reintroducing him as our regular political commentator (or political blowhard).
The conversation first turned to the Wisconsin governor’s race, with two Milwaukee leaders — Mayor Cavalier Johnson and County Executive David Crowley — possibly entering the field.
We then discussed the devastation from Milwaukee’s 1,000-year flood and the question of who residents can depend on for help — with Murphy pointing out it likely won’t be insurance companies, FEMA or the state.
Lastly, we discussed the politically ignored dilemma of A.I. data centers, that are going to be a problem for residents sooner than later — both in how much energy they demand, as well as water.
