La Crosse Mayor Mitch Reynolds makes his last appearance on La Crosse Talk, as we reminisce about the last four years, talk about the highs and lows, and how things are set up for a new mayor and members on the council.
Reynolds’ last official day as mayor will be Tuesday, as Shaundel Washington-Spivey gets sworn in, as well as six city council members — four totally new.
We discuss some of the accomplishments he’s made over the past four years, as well as his biggest disappointments.
We also talk about the role of a city administrator — as there’s a good chance that position gets created — plus the consolidation of department heads that happened over Reynolds’ time and if there has been a lot of communication between him and Washington-Spivey.
Reynolds ended the conversation on continuing the tradition of La Crosse mayors coming on WIZM monthly, which he began with Mayor Mark Johnsrud when first hosting La Crosse Talk PM in the mid-2000s.
