Onalaska Mayor Kim Smith in the WIZM studio for La Crosse Talk discussing their city administrator, summer in Ona, the Crumbl Cookie and a new community center.
Smith has been mayor since 2019 and had roles on the city council before that. A big part of the conversation was about their city administrator and the how she works with that position, as La Crosse’s city council debates hiring a similar position.
Of course, we also hit on the Crumbl Cookie opening later this month after about a two-year hiatus, plus everything that’s happening in Onalaska this summer, including concerts, pools opening, and a Bark in the Park: Cat v Dog kickball tourney.
One other thing we discussed was the opening of the new community center, that will include an all-abilities playground, senior center and a new gym.
