Heather Drievold and the animals at the Coulee Region Humane Society

View descriptionShare

Heather Drievold, executive director at the Coulee Region Humane Society, joins to talk about the animals they have, some of the weirder experiences she's had and the events they have coming up.

One of the latter is Rounds for Rescues, which only has one four-some spot remaining. The golf outing happens Sept. 12 at Fox Hollow Golf Course. Another event, a few months out, is Sip to Save on Nov. 8. A beer and wine tasting at the Court Above Main.

Coulee Region currently has a lot of animals that need to be adopted — around 300, Drievold said. That includes everything from five huskies and one gecko.

Drievold also talked about some of the more unique critters they've had, including a tarantula.
