Great River United Way is kicking off its annual fundraising campaign, and organizers say the need across the Coulee Region is higher than ever. The nonprofit supports more than 20 local programs, from early‑childhood education and food security to emergency housing and mental‑health services.

This year’s campaign theme focuses on “neighbors helping neighbors,” highlighting how donations stay in La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau, and Vernon counties. United Way leaders say inflation and rising living costs continue to push more families toward community resources, and partner agencies are seeing record demand.
