For more than a decade the mysterious Salvator Mundi (Latin for "Savior of the World") has been the subject of debate between artists and experts alike because no one can say for certain whether or not it was painted by Leonardo Da Vinci. In the new documentary The Lost Leonardo though, rather than settle the debate, director Andreas Koefoed opts to explore the modern myth's origins and the many hands its changed since resurfacing.
In an exclusive interview with WINS, Koefoed spoke about how the project fell on his lap, how Leonardo DiCaprio almost got involved, and whether or not the titular painting might be the last alleged Da Vinci we might ever see.
