On today's show, I chat with Link from Melbourne based punk band, The Meanies. The Meanies have been tearing up stages both here and overseas since 1988 and they are heading up the Calder to demolish the stage the Bridge Hotel in Castlemaine tomorrow night for Halloween...boo! The Bridge is a small room, so expect a sell out, which means don’t tarry, get online and sort your tickets out now! As ever, let’s get in the mood with some tunes – I’ll play you’re the latest single, which was actually recorded 25 years ago. It’s titled “Shutdown” and is not your usual Meanies style of song, so we’ll back that up with their classic “10% Weird”, Old Car to Sangra-La, Punchin' Air and Mr. Authority. I'll also finish with tunes by Deadweight 80, Maggie Rigby and Jeff Martin, who all play locally this weekend.
