Welcome to What’s on Your Radio! Today, I chat with Atsu of Mach Pelican, who though from Japan, are a Melbourne based punk band. I used to see Mach Pelican regularly in 1990s when they played at the Espy front bar and have been lucky enough to catch them twice over recent years when they've done occasional reformations. Now, as you know, I usually only interview bands who are coming to play our area, but I’ve made an exception for Mach Pelican! Rest assured, I will be pushing for them to come to our area. By the way, Atsu joined my Ramones cover band, Road to Ruin late last year, however, due to scheduling conflicts and impeding operation for me, which happens tomorrow, we’ve not been able to join forces again. Anyway, we'll get in the mood for Mach Pelican by hearing their first new music in nearly two decades, this single is titled “Remember It?”, followed by a track from each of their three studio albums. The gig guide, as always, will get a run and I'll play tunes by The Gnomes, The Pourshots, Kachiku and as little Astrofuzz. Go see a gig this weekend!
