Tonight I was to talk to Toody Cole, of Dead Moon, who plays the Theatre Royal this Saturday with her band. In spite of effort... 41 emails, Toody's driver's lost phone and the station phones going down while my show was on, it didn't happen. Buggar! Anyway, the show must go on and it did. I played four Dead Moon songs and a bunch of songs by bands playing locally this weekend, including: Slander Tongue and Drunk Mums (Trash Cult), Regurtitator and Liz Stringer (Theatre Royal), Blonde House (Handlebar), Alarms (Studio 66), The Waifs (Capital Theatre) Parmy Dillon (Shiraz Republic) and Minor Gold (Shedshaker). All in all, a good night of tunes! No show next week as Phoenix is doing a live broadcast for Australian Music Day from Hargreaves Mall from 5-10pm. This features: Grim Fawkner, Sherri Parry, Sam Edmonds, Charlie Bedford and Mariah McCarthy and it's free baby, free!
