My 50th show on Phoenix FM!! On this week's show I chatted with Jay from Frankston band, The Gnomes. The Gnomes are band with serious ‘buzz’; they sold out the very large Brunswick Ballroom for their album launch in November and were RRR album of the week that month. The band will be a constant on the festival circuit for the next few months, while supporting a couple of international acts (Hockey Dad, The Viagra Boys). Most importantly for us, The Gnomes are also taking off on their own tour of iconic small Melbourne venues and…and…wait for it; finishing that mini tour in Bendigo! With thanks to Trash Cult, you can catch the band on Saturday January 31 with locals, Astrofuzz, in support. We'll get to know the 60s inspired sounds of The Gnomes by listening to their cover of the Beatles “Bad Boy”, before hearing “Better with You” and later "Time Will Tell" from their recent self-titled album.
