The two US House members who represent Bloomington normal split their vote on a massive bill to enact the heart of President Trump's domestic agenda. Republican Darren Hood voted for the so-called Big Beautiful bill. Democrat Eric Sorensen voted against it. The legislation would cut trillions of dollars in taxes while scaling back safety net programs like Medicaid and SNAP, and Illinois Wesleyan will host the NCAA Division III Softball World Series next week, and a large donor to university athletics helped make it possible. The softball park at Wesleyan is named for.

Willis. She has helped provide the school with a large pavilion for hitting and pitching, and artificial turf infield, a digital scoreboard, and other amenities. Willis says those park improvements benefit more than just the
