DLT Newsroom. I'm Eric Stock. The National Weather Service has a tornado warning in effect for parts of eastern McLean County, southeastern McLean County, along with the northeastern Dewitt County. The storm had passed through the Leroy area a few moments ago. There is a severe thunderstorm warning still in effect for the Leroy area and areas just east of the Twin Cities.

But the potential for tornadoes has pushed further to the eastern part of the county, including Ellsworth, Colfax, Seabrook, and Bellflower. That tornado warning is in effect until 4:30 this afternoon, while the severe thunderstorm warning continues until 4:30 for areas just to the west there, and that includes Leroy.

Bloomington and Normal launched the site BNtsolution.com to encourage people to give it to nonprofits to provide homeless services, and to discourage panhandling, and police and prosecutors say they're seeing a concerning increase in juvenile arrests involving guns in Blooming normal. That contributed to a 43% increase in shootings last year.

These issues with these juveniles is they're very much more active when it's nicer weather out, when, you know, the sun's up a little bit later, you know, just being out and about. Both Bloomington Normal Police also run summer youth outreach.
