From the WGLT Newsroom, I'm John Norton. An immigration attorney says there is a lot of uncertainty about how the Supreme Court's ruling on birthright citizenship will impact Illinois. Madeline Cox Gerra is a staff attorney with the Normal-based Immigration Project. She's offering advice for immigrant families who are worried that the Trump administration's executive order may ultimately be.

upheld or could lead to a patchwork of laws across the country. Don't panic. Um, try to get your documents if you, if you can, um, be prepared for what the lower courts are going to say next. The Supreme Court struck down universal injunctions from blocking the president's order, but the court did not rule on the legality of the order itself.

Home Sweet Home Ministries is launching a new campaign to raise funds for the bridge. That's the planned non-congregate shelter village in Bloomington. Home Sweet Home is setting a goal of $750,000 from the community to cover remaining capital development costs of the project. It's being partially funded with a $1.3 million grant from a McLean County mental health grant.

And a $100,000 donation commitment from East View Church. The current construction plans for the bridge include 48 sleeping cabins at a site on East Oakland Avenue in Bloomington with 24/7 support from Home Suite Home staff. A groundbreaking ceremony for the recently purchased property is planned for July 10th.

And members of the LGBTQIA community and their allies staged a weekend protest on the lawn outside the Bloomington Center for Performing Arts. Michael Gizzi is a coordinator for Bloomington Normal 5051. It's organized the event with the Prairie Pride Coalition.

Our focus is entirely today on stopping the assault on the LGBTQ community and preserving the rights of

all people.

Prosecutors say they are concerned about threats to gender affirming healthcare.

Proposed budget cuts to HIV and AIDS research and treatment and cuts to diversity, equity and inclusion programs. There's a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 4 p.m. today, otherwise mostly sunny with a high near 87. I'm John Norton, WGOT.
