Wellington's new $195 million dollar convention centre, Tākina, is officially open.
It's the capital's largest built infrastructure investment since Sky Stadium was opened two decades ago.
It's first exhibition, Jurassic World by Ryan 'The Brickman' McNaught, which features life sized Lego dinosaurs, begins on Saturday.
An event to celebrate Tākina being opened to the public was held in the new building.
Nick Mills got an exclusive tour and spoke to array of distinguished guests, including the The Brickman himself, Dame Winnie Laban, and Commercial Development Manager David Perks.
